Figure 1- The expanse of Main Bridge Radcon #7 not only waterproofed the concrete slabs of the Bridges, but will also protect the steel structure within the concrete and prevent the penetration of water through porous mortar joints.
The multiple benefits of Radcon #7 means that adhesion of asphaltic topping to the substrate will not be impaired in any way. It will also self-seal cracks to the concrete slabs up to 2.00mm, while paints and other coatings may be applied over the treatment with no bond loss. Figure 2- Construction of the Bamboo Bridge |

Consultant Engineer for this project is Cansult Ltd, while the Executing Agency is NIDCO- National Infrastructure Development Company.
The duration for the job took five nights covering an approximate area of 10,214 m².
In new construction, Radcon #7 is also suitable for application beneath a tile bed and will in fact increase the bond strength between the mortar bed and the structural concrete by 27%. |
