Water Retaining Structures |

 | Concrete used in water retaining structures is exposed to weather or other severe conditions and must be virtually impermeable or be made water-tight. Water tightness is also referred to as the ability of concrete to hold back or retain water without visible leakage. Permeability refers to the amount of water migration through concrete when the water is under pressure or to the ability of the concrete to resist penetration by water or other substances (liquid, gas, ions, etc.) Therefore treating these structures against water migration (in or out) and also protecting steel reinforcements is vitally important. Radcon Formula #7 , Krystol Internal Membrane and Krystol T1/T2 can waterproof these structures permanently against any degradation that would normally take place due to either the vagaries of the weather, sulphates, chloride ion and the likes.
