Most commercial buildings built with a basement for underground parking will suffer from moisture and or water ingress. This water ingress could be caused by hydrostatic pressure, a high underground water table, excessive water retention in soils, lack of use of water bar at the cold joints, improper vibration of the concrete, moisture resulting in honey combs, bad construction of the upper slab and many other reasons. If left untreated, serious degradation of the structure could result.

For waterproofing your basement, we would recommend any of the following products:

• Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM)
• Krystol T1/T2
• And for all cold joints, the Krystol Joint System.
