Pools can provide many hours of pleasure and can also enhance the value of properties. Unfortunately, a poorly constructed pool can cause nightmares for the owner and result in huge maintanance bills.

Additionally, many owners erroneously feel that the coating installed after construction will solve problems introduced by faulty construction and waterproof the pool permanently.

While properly installed coatings can assist in water retention, they are not a lasting solution for poor construction. It is always advisable when constructing pools and water retaining structures to either:

• cast with a kicker to eliminate the cold joint and then use the Krystol Waterstop System on the kicker.

• or, if it has been cast monolithically, use Krystol Internal Membrane Waterproofing Admixture in the mix for Permanent Waterproofing and protection of the reinforcements.

If the structure is already in place, waterproof with Radcon Formula #7 or Krystol T1/T2 permanent waterproofing System.
